I've been hard away at work, steaming ahead towards graduation of my Fine Art degree. It's about bloody time!
I should have a new 3 Track EP out in a couple of months. Say, November. Though I might make it two releases, one stereo, the other a downloadable 5.1 DVD.
All the tracks are currently for my class 'Immersive Environments' (under the guidance of lecturer Philip Samartzis) which is essentially a course in spatialisation and surround sound techniques.
I'm also working on a small sculptural work for a group installation show which opens next week, at RMIT School of Art Gallery. The opening is on Wednesday night, the 23rd, from 5 - 7PM. I'll post a flyer in the next day or two.
Also, the students graduating from the Sound department will be holding a concert at The Toff in Town on Monday the 24th of November, from 8PM. I'll be performing a new piece at this show, called 'Surface', which will be a combination of moving image and sound.
On top of that, it looks like my band 'The Min Min Lights' will be doing a live show as part of the Video Arts Lounge, at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2009. This will actually be our first live show ever! We're planning something special for the festival, a live soundtrack re-interpretation of Masaki Kobayashi's 1964 cult-classic-horror film 'KWAIDAN'. Exciting! Plus, I'll also be doing a live set as 'Sinuso Dial'.
More details on everything as it all comes to hand...
